When I access links to the Internet via Twitter or an Email client or a shortcut on my desktop I want my Nokia N900 to know exactly which browser to open. That might sound strange, but when one has 3 different browsers (MicroB, Mozilla Firefox or Opera) then you will understand.

Let me introduce a clever little application called Browser Switchboard and once installed it can be found under Settings.

It lists all the browsers installed and one can select the browser you want to open by default. It works just brilliantly.

Once an option is selected it shows the default browser and also gives one an option to run some commands.

Note: If one taps on the default Internet button it will open the MicroB (stock browser), but if one opens a link from Twitter or an email then the selected browser will open.
